Pharmacogenomic Testing

Pharmacogenomics is “drug-gene testing” focused on how a person’s DNA affects their body’s response to medications. It is an effective tool that shows an individual’s response to specific medications. Drug-gene testing can predict a drug’s efficacy, guide dosage decisions, increase overall safety, and improve outcomes for the patient.

Although this testing is beneficial for everyone, it is vitally important for those individuals who have failed one or more medications and require that “extra step” to obtain the greatest of possible pharmaceutical outcomes. This testing can also significantly reduce poly-pharmacy.
